Welcome to PawPal. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the PawPal website, waitlist, and any related services we offer (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service or joining our waitlist, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
PawPal is currently in pre-launch. These Terms will be updated when the full platform launches. Waitlist members will be notified of material changes before launch.
PawPal ("we," "us," or "our") is a community-first platform being built to connect dog owners with Pals: neighbors and locals who want to walk, run, play, or simply spend time with dogs. At launch, every Pal will complete background checks, identity verification, and dog safety certification before activation. We are based in San Francisco, California.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service or join the waitlist. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
Joining the waitlist means you've expressed interest in early access to PawPal and you're opting in to receive email updates from us. It does not:
Founding-rate pricing referenced on our site (currently $19 per month for unlimited sessions) is our intended price at launch for waitlist members. We reserve the right to adjust pricing, features, and availability before launch, and will communicate any material changes by email.
When you join the waitlist, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. You're responsible for any activity that occurs under your email address. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us at hello@pawpal.to.

You'll receive these full terms by email and on the site before the launch features are available to you. Continued use of the Service after launch constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
The PawPal name, logo, website content, and underlying technology are owned by PawPal and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use of publicly available material on our site.
Our site uses third-party services including Mailchimp (waitlist email), Google Analytics (site analytics), and Netlify (hosting). Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' terms and privacy practices. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle data.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. PawPal makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service, including but not limited to its availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or specific launch timing.
Any forward-looking statements on our site (about launch dates, features, pricing, or future cities) are intentions, not guarantees.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PawPal and its founders, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, lost profits, or other intangible losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim. For waitlist members who have not yet paid for the Service, this amount is $0.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PawPal and its representatives from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
You can unsubscribe from the waitlist at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
As PawPal grows, these Terms may be updated. We'll note the "last updated" date at the top, and for material changes we'll notify waitlist members by email before the changes take effect.
